In a small footprint suitable for the home office, the MFC-J1010DW offers print, scan, copy, and fax functions in a single machine.

The built-in Wi-Fi allows you to wirelessly trigger print commands from a smartphone or tablet using the Brother Mobile Connect app (iOS/Android) or AirPrint, Mopria, and Wi-Fi direct mobile print services. Print in up to 1200 x 800 dpi resolution onto a variety of paper sizes from small photo paper and index cards to legal size 8.5 x 14″ sheets. (Dual-sided printing can only be done with up to letter-size 8.5 x 11″ paper.) Average prints speeds are 17 pages per minute in black and 9.5 ppm for color prints.

A 150-sheet main paper input tray and a single-sheet multipurpose tray both support up to legal size paper. For scanning and copying, a 20-sheet ADF also supports up to legal size paper, or you can use the flatbed for single sheets up to 8.5 x 11″ letter size. While the built-in Wi-Fi allows a wireless workflow, the printer also has a USB interface for plugging directly to a Mac or Windows computer. USB cables are sold separately. (A USB-A to USB-B cable would be required.)
