The Type-S servo drive increases the lens’ operational efficiency and reduces power consumption. This lens incorporates a B4 mount that is standard for ENG/EFP lenses.

Focus, zoom, and iris are all servo controlled, providing extremely smooth zoom, focus, and iris pulls. The Type-S digital drive unit uses three 20-pin connectors for interfacing with controllers like the ZSC-300D and FPD-400D and provides a 16-bit interface to virtual systems. It also has an onboard display for setting up a variety of functions, including Shuttle Shot, Frame Preset, and Speed Preset.
