The Canon DM-100 is a lightweight, camera-mountable microphone designed for use with Vixia camcorders. The mic attaches directly to the Vixia’s advanced accessory shoe, which supplies the mic with power and provides a cable-free audio connection to the camera. The versatile DM-100 offers three pickup modes to choose from. The monophonic shotgun setting provides a supercardioid polar pattern that focuses audio capture tightly in front of the mic. For stereo recordings, you can choose between a narrow 90° pickup and a wider 120° setting for a more panoramic sound stage. A furry windmuff is provided to reduce wind noise when shooting outside.
